Whew, where do I begin! It has been a crazy, fun, busy, hectic Holiday/ Football season! We are still trying to get over the St Paul's, LSU and Saints games! But all is good (well maybe not for Craig who is still pouting a little...haha). The babies just keep getting cuter every minute! Charlie is just hilarious and talking up a storm and Reese is a little love bug who will be walking very soon!
We spent New Year's in Alexandria with Craig's family. It was so nice. We relaxed and also went to the zoo and on a train ride which Charlie just loved!
The weekend before last Brooke and I threw Aunt Molly a baby shower along with some of her friends. We can't wait for baby Lola Jane! And last weekend we went to Baton Rouge to celebrate Margy's 85th birthday and Lily Reese's first birthday which is actually tomorrow (I can not believe it)!! Well I will leave it at this for now, off to get babies dressed, fed and off to work!

Here are some sweet pictures from over Christmas and the Holidays! We had a wonderful time and the babies were adorable! Craig's family, the Kingrea's, came to Mandeville to stay with us and we of course also split time with my family and Craig's mom and step dad as well. Charlie is at such a fun age and was so cute waking up and seeing his presents! Lily Reese on the other hand was just happy playing with the ornaments on the tree and tissue paper!

Adenovirus + Lily Reese = Night in Hospital

Sweet Little Reese came down with a horrible fever the week before last and ended up in the ER. It started Saturday night so we gave her Motrin throughout the night, when her fever went down we felt OK. The next day, she was still not her self. We were not over worried, so we were out and about but quickly realized we needed to get her home. It had definitely progressed. She was a little hot potato! I ran her down to an Urgent Care around 5:00, they couldn't take her due to her age so we went to St. Tammany ER. They nurse took us back to triage and she had 104.5 fever and was very dehydrated!! The nurses were worried so they brought us straight back for an IV of fluids. IT WAS SO SCARY. I was so happy to see Aunt Sue aka Dr. Craig on duty (Craig's aunt, LR's great aunt). She kept me calm and told me that LR had a virus and that we would have to stay overnight due to it. At about midnight they took us up to Peds. We were the only ones and they took great care of us. At 1:00 am (7 hours after being there) my sweet baby was acting like herself again. I tried her in the crib but she wanted nothing to do with it (which I was fine with because she was in my arms allllll night)! We were up and down all night with nurses coming in. Oh and she had the IV on her arm that she sucks her thumb =( . I mean shouldn't I have realized that when they were sticking her with that stupid needle!!
We were released the next day at 2pm. She has been doing fine!
It was scary but she was a little trooper!!

Charlie the Ring Bearer!

Charlie was in his first wedding this past weekend! Suzanne, Craig's cousin, got married and she asked Charlie to be the ring bearer. We were so honored. It was such a fun few days.
Suzanne looked beautiful!!! And we are happy to welcome Paul to our family! Unfortunatly, I do not have pictures of the bride and groom- only videos!
For the rehearsal Charlie walked all the way down and when he got the end of the aisle all the groomsmen were hooting and hollering for him, telling him good job and all Charlie could think to scream is "LSU go Tigers". It was hilarious! If only his Daddy could have heard him =). I prayed he would not scream that while at the wedding and Thank the Lord he didn't! He did such a good job, walked v-e-r-y slow and kept looking at everyone in their seats and smiling. He danced on the dance floor and then not long after passed out in daddy's arms.

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving at Aunt Molly ("Uncle Molly" as Charlie says) and Uncle Clay's house. They are all moved in and settled at their new home so they decided to have everyone over (Their house looks amazing! They have been renovating an old house in downtown Covington over the past 6 months and we are all so proud of it)!
Anyway, Charlie said the opening prayer which was precious (followed by Uncle Bob's prayer). The food was delish and we had a fun day visiting with all of our families.
We are so very Thankful to have a wonderful Family that is always there for us and always willing to help out, Incredible Friends, Healthy, Happy (and adorable) Children, Unconditional love for one another, and the love of Christ who keeps reminding us of the important things in life.
We are truly BLESSED!

Fall Happenings

Where does the time go! This month seems to be flashing past us! I don't know about you all but we just can not get over that Thanksgiving is here (which means Christmas is right around the corner..ahh). This is my very busy time at work so things have been a bit hectic. We are also finally painting the exterior of our house. We are thrilled! It was brown stucco and brick and it is all changing to cream!! We are also painting the trim in a soft gray & we are putting up shutters that are being painted a pretty warm gray. I also found very cool light fixtures at an estate sale that we will put up. It is all coming together.
Let's see ... over the past month Craig was invited to the LSU Bama game by his ~~boyfriend~~ friend, Mikey! The # 1 and #2 team playing and they got to stand on the field next to the tigers! Craig was so pumped and had a great time. Thank you Mikey! We have had birthday parties, football parties, baby showers, Brooke and Cruz in town to visit, visits to great grandma Margy's house, and a very exciting night finding out that we will be an aunt and uncle to a NIECE!!!
We hope everyone has a Blessed Thanksgiving week!

The Tiger & The Hare

We had a wonderful "Calloween" (as Charlie says it) weekend filled with many fun festivities!

-We started Saturday morning in the cold, all bundled up, for a Pumpkin patch race where precious and pregnant Aunt Molly and I ran with the babies while Mame' worked the race. We hung around after for the Pumpkin patch and pumpkin painting!
-Sunday we went to a "trunk or treating" at St. Timothy's where Charlie goes to school. They had everything fun for the kids, including a hay ride which Charlie loved (he even got to sit on the tractor)!
-Halloween night we had people over for fun and food at our house! Reese was so excited on the wagon ride through the neighborhood & Charlie had the trick or treating down pack (Charlie wanted to go in everyone's house which had us cracking up- we took funny videos).
They were so cute and it was a great Halloween!

Charlie news...

I decided to take Charlie for an X-ray of his nose from his accident Saturday. He HATED the machine taking his "picture" but was such a trooper! Good news- no problems & no broken nose!!! We are so relieved! It's still swollen and we are waiting for the black eyes but he is doing great.
Other charlie news:
-Ask's " what's that noise" ALL the time
-Went poo poo on the potty tonight for the first time! He told us he had to go and sure enough! He was confused at first then so proud of himself! And of course he got a special treat and called all the grandparents to tell them " I poo poo on potty"! Now it's time to potty train I guess :)
-Talks about himself in 3rd person. Charlie wants that, Charlie wants to go to grocery store, Charlie ride that?, Charlie wants to go outside, and when we ask him if he wants something he says... Charlie did!
-Loves Grapes! If you ask him what he wants for breakfast"grapes", what do you want for dinner "grapes". Too funny!
- Says "Bandbabe" instead of Bandaid.
- loves trucks! He can name them all and points them out all over town... Dump truck, bulldozer, excavator (didn't even know that was a name of a truck), crane...you name it!
-Runs to us and calls out our names when we pick him up from St Michael's and I Love it!!
-Does not listen too well these days and starting to take toys from Reese but adores that sissy most days! They really are keeping each other more and more entertained these days and it's fun to watch.

LSU Tailgate/ Geaux Tigers

We had a great time today in Baton Rouge for LSU vs Auburn game. We tailgated with Jackie and Clay (who went to Auburn) and all their friends from Auburn who traveled in town for the game. There were lots of babies playing, food and fun! We walked down to see the Marching band as they went into the stadium and charlie loved it!! Craig went to the game with the boys and the girls went back to Jackie and Clay's to watch the game and for the kids to ~~nap~~ Play! It was a great day (especially if you were an LSU Tiger fan)!
And of course we couldn't leave BR without another Charlie accident! He slipped on a rug and busted his nose on a piece of furniture. It ended up being a rough night but no ER visit Praise the Lord!

Hello There Fall!

Hello There! Lot's happening around the Kingrea household. We stay very busy these days juggling the babies, working full time, routines, trying to recover from colds, sleepless nights which are getting MUCH better, reading stories, watching Lily Reese carefully- she is pulling up on everything, watching Caillou (Charlie's FAV new cartoon), bathtime fun with both babies, playing pretend (Charlie loves to play doctor and pretend cook), celebrating birthdays (Daddy C just made the big 31 too), traveling for weekend getaways (just came back from an awesome wknd trip to Gulf Shores with the Combs family) and we are headed to the Auburn LSU game this weekend (Charlie's first)!

I am sure you all can relate to full calendars and the constant juggle but it is fun, crazy, wonderful, exhausting and we wouldn't want it different, would we!

Mommy's birthday

My birthday was Saturday and it was a wonderful weekend. I love where I am in life. I am so blessed to have an amazing husband, 2 wonderful/adorable babies and a great family...All of whom I adore more and more everyday. It Is crazy getting older but I have to say it is the best time of my life.
I woke up to coffee in bed and Charlie and Craig singing happy birthday to me. Charlie kept saying "it's my birthday too mommy" too precious!
Charlie and Reese surprised my with an iPad which I am blogging from now (trying to learn this very cool machine). I was so surprised! I then spent the morning with my sister and kids at the ALS walk for cure. My dear friends Dad (and close family friends) is suffering with this horrible disease. I am happy we spent the morning in his honor. Craig then took the kids and Molly and I were off for pedicures. Then My sweet mom and sis helped with the kids while Craig took me to a romantic dinner at the lake house on the lakefront. We thought about going out but ended up at home in pjs which we loved! A sweet birthday!

Kingrea Update

We have not written in forever!! Here is what is going on in our little life:

Reese is 6-1/2 months and crawling all around the house! She is the happiest baby and eating like a little piggie!
Charlie continues to light up our world with made up songs and his laughter that is contagious!
Charlie just turned 2!! On August 13th and we are having a small little birthday party for him this Saturday at the Shiver Shack Snoballs and Water Pad (at the mandeville Trailhead.) He sings the whole happy birthday song and then blows out candles in the air (he is gearing up!)
We went to Gulf Shores for a week August 4th-9th and had a wonderful time EXCEPT that we had a VERY traumatic ER visit! Charlie busted his lip badly and had to be put under for the doctor to stitch up his lip. Craig and I were a WRECK but Charlie stayed so strong! We were so afraid he would have truly messed up teeth and mouth BUT honestly all is great. We loved his doctor. He has healed well and he will have a cool scar to show for it (at least this is what Daddy Craig has made Mommy Kristin believe)
The beach was very different from years past, very busy, Reese hated it except for the last day, and Charlie couldn't be in the Sun for 3 days. Despite that, it truly was a great time to spend with the Kingrea Family!
We are in the process of getting granite installed (finally changing out of 70's tiled counters) it is looking great! We have had quite a few set backs and hope to have it complete by tomorrow. I have been doing dishes and cleaning bottles in the Laundry room sink (but I can't complain- could be worse right!)
Charlie is now in a big boy bed and is so proud of it! It has been about 2 months now. He started climbing/falling out of his crib so we had to bite the bullet. We had many sleepless nights of him waking up and waking into our room. We put a gate up in front of his door and he now stays in his room and sleeps through the night (well most nights =)
Charlie wakes up screaming "Good Morning Sunshine" that is our wake up call (no need for alarms anymore.) His first question when we get to his room is "Where is Reesie at?"
We are excited about Football Season and Craig has Charlie saying "WhoDat" and "Go Tigers!" We will be training for a half marathon soon - The Jazz in N.O.- to whip this mama back into shape!
Charlie and Lily Reese light up when they interact and it is the sweetest thing ever for Craig and I to watch.
Oh and AUNT MOLLY IS PREGNANT!!! She is 10 weeks! Please keep Molly, Clay and baby Koenig in your prayers!

We found out this morning at church that a little girl- Samantha, 12 years old, from Mandeville- disappeared after a boat collision on Saturday afternoon. Her uncle was driving and she was with her sister and her girl cousins. Everyone else is ok but they are searching for Samantha. She goes to Our Lady of the Lake School and Church (Our church) in Mandeville. Please keep Samantha and her family in your every prayer!!

Reese's Christening

I am doing things a little backwards but wanted to post pictures of our little Girl's very special day! We Baptized Reese at the end of March 2011. It was a beautiful day with family and friends with us to celebrate. She was baptized at St. Peter's which is a very special church in our family. We were all baptized here and Craig and I married here (as well as most of our family including my parents.)
We asked Aunt Molly, my sister, and Uncle Tommy, Craig's step brother, to be Reese's Godparents, this little angel is so blessed! Reese wore our family Christening gown of 70 years! This was my uncle's and was passed down to my mom and her siblings, all of my cousin's, me and my sister's, and now our baby's! Aunt Molly gave Reese a very beautiful antique bonnet that I hope her little girl will wear one day.
We celebrated after with a reception at our house.

Crawfish Boil, Easter, Trip to Grandaddy's

I am way behind on some fun times so we wanted to post a few pictures from April! We had our 4th annual crawfish boil on Saturday before Easter with our first Easter Egg hunt. Crawfish were awesome and its always a wonderful time to visit with friends and family! Easter Sunday was great. We spent it at a sweet church service at the Carmelite Nuns. Charlie broke his shoe and was saying "AMEN" all throughout church and Reese started crying so it was a lot different then years past =) We had lunch at Mame and Pops- I forgot my camera so Mame' took pics of our babies in their Easter best (which I don't have yet to share). The next weekend we went to Alexandria to celebrate Grandaddy's 60th! We played croquet, visited, ate lots and relaxed-it was wonderful. Our first road trips with both kids and they did great(thanks to built in DVD to play Elmo!) More to come...Cheers!

I haven't posted in a while..we have been a very busy little family adjusting to mama going back to work! I will post more soon but thought I'd share a few pics and a few funnies for now.

Funny Charlie Boy:
We were looking for Charlie only to find him in his bathroom, completely in the sink with the water running (thank GOD it was the cold water). We asked him why he did that and he said "I had to mommy!" Really charlie?? You had to?? So funny! I mean isn't that something you would say when getting in trouble in highschool, not at 21 months.
Also, Charlie is finding interest in the toilet. He came out the kitchen bathroom the other day with his whole head wet saying "Hair wet mommy!" Yes, I see that Charlie let's not do that again ok? "Ok mamma, yuck!" At least he gets it right!
He has been going into the bathroom wanting to potty, so Craig bought an Elmo potty (Elmo is his fav). This morning he brought his potty to us and wanted to potty so we sat him down and he went! Yay...So proud of him! However, hopefully will NOT start potty training anytime soon. I need a breather first..haha.
He is counting to 11 (we finally got past the 1-2-8), repeating everything, sharing great -we'll see how that changes once Reese starts taking his toys =), naming our family members and saying AMEN at prayer time, and constantly has us laughing and thanking God.

Precious Reese:
Lily Reese has been smiling up a storm, laughing out loud, rolling over (as of Mother's Day), sucking her thumb and adjusting to mommy going back to work (which was an easy adjustment for her, she just loooove's Mrs. Patti!!)
Being at work is good! I just miss my babies so much during the day but I know they are in great hands which makes us happy! Our life is busy, busy right now and sometimes feels like o-n-e l-o-n-g continuous day where we feel like we can never get enough done and always have plans, but we wouldn't change it for the world! We are so blessed!!

We had a wonderful weekend last wknd! The Gibson's came to visit and stay with us on Friday night (my best friend and roommate from college Heather and her sweet family- hubby Brian and babies Halle (4), Bella (almost 2) and Liam (10-1/2 wks- BORN ON SAME DAY IN SAME HOUR AS REESE!).
We had a wonderful visit Friday night and then packed the whole crew up and headed to the Zoo on Saturday! It was so fun. We got there right when it opened and stayed till it closed. We saw a seal show and elephant show. Charlie loved the elephants, carousel ride with daddy and playing at the park. Reese came along too and she was an angel. It was a long day and we were all exhausted afterwards but it was OH SO eventful and memorable! Our first family trip to the Audubon Zoo!

Charlie absolutely LOVES his sister! He wakes up every morning asking for baby Reese (with his hand in the air- like- where is she) and when we gets down from his crib he runs to our bedroom, peeks in the bassinet and says" Hiiiii Reese, Hiiii Reese!" It is just precious! He kisses her and points out all her features. She lights up his world and he is starting to light up hers! Reese is now following us and smiling like crazy. She now smiles back at Charlie in such bliss.

Hawaii Trip!

We had a wonderful time in Hawaii!!! As we wrote in the last post I won a trip so we were in Beautiful Hawaii for about 6 days! The babies did awesome while we were away! It was so hard to leave but we knew Charlie and Reese were in great hands and we couldn't pass up an opportunity for a free trip to such an amazing place! I had to pump the whole time but we were able to travel back with all the milk stored on dry ice- thanks continental airlines!! And Reese did just fine adjusting back to mommy and her milk!!
Anyway, We stayed at our first four seasons resort and it was incredible! The company had planned events and dinners that were just unbelievable. It was wonderful while we were there - truly paradise! We put a lot of thought into moving us all there..lol...but are happy to be back with the bebe's and to our home! Here are some pics...

Craig and I are in Lana'i Hawaii! I won a trip with my work, through one of the top manufactures I sell "Kimball Office", for a trip to Hawaii to a Four Seasons Resort! Only thing is that it had to be this week...which means if we made the decision to go we would have to leave our sweet babies (with Reese only being 7 weeks old)
It is Bitter Sweet but after lots of pumping and WONDERFUL parents who are supportive and offered to stay with Charlie and Reese, we decided to come!! It is amazing!! And although we miss our bebe's so so much it is so fun to be together and catch up on some sleep. It is BEAUTIFUL here!

Last weekend we took Charlie to a parade near our house (with Reese and my parents too) and Charlie had a ball! He was amazed at everything and danced with the marching bands! He loved all the beads and left with lots of great catches! We hope if this weather clears up we'll catch more parades tomorrow and on Mardi Gras day!

My sister-Brooke, brother-in-law- Jason and their boys (Ty and Cruz) are in visiting from Colorado for a long weekend! We are having so much fun hanging out with all the kiddos! Charlie loves having his cousins around to play with. The other night they danced to Mardi Gras music and had us rolling laughing! Will post pics soon.
Charlie had a relapse of RSV so we are back to his treatments- poor baby! He has been getting up in the middle of the night so needless to say we are getting hardly any sleep with the 2 of them up all hours. We hope that Reese doesn't get it!!

Super Bowl Sunday

Craig received a call yesterday afternoon from his friend Mikey inviting him to the Super Bowl! Mikey was offered 2 tickets last minute from his father in law who is the head of security for ESPN. I told Craig of course, GO. I mean what a great experience right!! They left yesterday afternoon and drove 8-9 hours to Dallas. They are staying with Mikey's in laws in a suite and get to go to a Fan Fare event today which was also included! They are going to be like two little boys in a toy store! I just received a text from Craig saying he is at ESPN brunch about to watch Tim Tebow, Cam Newton and Matt Cassell speak on the stage...how cool!
So I am at home with baby Reese and Charlie. My mom came over to help me out while Craig is in Dallas! Go Packers!

Reese had her 1 week Appt. on Thursday and is doing awesome! She actually gained weight. She weighs 8lb now and is 20" long. Her little features are so tiny and she just seems so petite and femine. She is breastfeeding wonderfully and is sleeping pretty good. She is very laid back and such a little angel!!
Charlie is a JOY and very loving to his new little sis, he is a bit rough at times showing us where baby Reese's eyes, nose, ears and toes are and shaking her bouncy seat!

IT'S A GIRL...

IT'S A GIRL!

After waiting 40 long weeks (Kristin's weeks were longer than mine), we welcomed a beautiful baby girl into the Kingrea family. At 11:24 AM today, Lily "Reese" Kingrea was born. She weighed in at 7lbs 13oz, measured 19.5 inches long, and is beautiful. Kristin did very well today for labor and delivery, and I was astonished at her strength and ability in the midst of pain. The miracle of a baby's development and birth makes me a truly blessed man, and I thank God for all of the gifts that have graced our lives. Charlie was introduced to his baby sister this afternoon around 4:00 PM, and it was special to have our whole family together with the addition of Reese for the first time. Thanks for all of the love and support, and please keep us in your thoughts and prayers. Below are some pictures of our beautiful new baby girl.

Poor Angel

Charlie has RSV. He started running fever on Wednesday night and I took him into the doc on Thursday afternoon after I received a call at work from my mother in law saying that it spiked up again. I took him in and he started throwing up; they took a swab of his nose, throat and looked in his ears (all while he was screaming with fever), they gave him Motrin suppository, pricked his finger and diagnosed our baby with RSV! The nurse and doc were awesome and wanted to keep us there to make sure Charlie didn't need to go to ER or anything. I was so nervous... this was the first big sick scare for us. Charlie was just so sad and pitiful and wanted to just cuddle on me. On top of this, I was also sick all week (but started feeling better Saturday thank God) Charlie is doing much better, finally liking his nebulizer treatments...and we are all trying to stay well before baby comes any day now!! Keep us in your prayers for a healthy and happy baby!!

Christmas was wonderful! Charlie was too cute and very animated as always, he opened his presents saying "OH WOW". We had lots of family time and relaxation with both the Zetzmann's and Dugger's and enjoyed every minute of it.

For New Year's Aunt Molly hung out with Charlie (since Uncle Clay was out of town) and we went to a nice dinner and then relaxed on the sofa (we are so wild!!)-but it was the best way to ring in the new year with my husband ever!
Now we are just busy preparing for baby and I am getting uncomfortable and ready (I'm 37 weeks) We are very anxious to meet your little baby-boy OR girl ???- and we know Charlie will be such a great big brother. He sees all the baby stuff around him and my growing belly and is constantly saying "Baby". He is such a love.

I am off today..yay!! And All next week! I am very excited for some down time and look forward to time with friends, family, Craig, Charlie! Also looking forward to some Christmas baking and cooking!
Today we are going to my good friend Kathleen's house. She is having our high school friends over with hubbies and babies for brunch, it will be great to see everyone!

A few weekends ago Craig's dad (Derby/Grandaddy), Bonna (BonBon) and Margy came in town to celebrate Christmas (since we will not be able to drive up to Alexandria where they will be hosting the Kingrea Christmas, it was sweet of them to come here). We had a fun time! They gave Charlie a very cool Schwinn bike that he loves!! Every morning he runs up to it and says "oh wow" gets on it and rings the bike bell.

Grandaddy also gave charlie a recordable Christmas book- Twas the night before Christmas and we read it every night.

We also did the Mott Christmas last week at my Aunt Linda and Uncle Wade's house (my mom's side of the family). SO fun! We played dirty Santa with the ladies while the men watched football. Charlie loved playing with his cousins (my cousin's kids). Charlie also got his hair chopped off, i was so sad! It was his 4th haircut and Craig really wanted it shorter and I gave in- don't ask me why- now Charlie looks so old!!

A Disney Thanksgiving!

We had a wonderful week in Disney!! We honestly did not know what to except with Charlie only being 15 months old and me 7-1/2 months pregnant but is was wonderful! He did great on his first plane ride and told eveeerryone Hi on the plane!
Charlie just LOVED Disney and so did we! We spent long days at the parks, from watching plays and Safari ride at Animal Kingdom, It's a small world and Dumbo Ride (Charlie's very favorite) at Magic Kingdom to seeing Donald Duck and Santa & traveling around the world at Epcot. We also went to the very Awesome Osborne Light Show at Hollywood Studio's and watched the fireworks and electrical parade at Magic Kingdom. He is just such a happy boy! It was so nice to spend that time with my parents and Charlie and it will be something we will remember forever (although Charlie will not- we have pictures to show).

We are off to Disney world this morning! We can't wait! My parents (Mame' and Pops) got us a place at a wonderful Resort for Thanksgiving and wanted to include us and their Grandsons! Unfortunately, Brooke Jason, and their boys can not make it (they will be missed...we will have to do with them another time). We are in need of a vacation so bad and although it will be very interesting taking Charlie on a plane and me walking around Disney world at 31 weeks pregnant, we are looking forward to seeing the joy in Charlie's eyes and spending this time with him (and my parents) before baby # 2 comes! Also it will be nice to sleep in some and have a babysitter at night...=)

Ut- Oh! Rough Night! Firetruck

Craig was at CEU all weekend in Baton Rouge so Charlie and I had the weekend alone. Saturday night...It all started with Ut-Oh right before bedtime. I had been organizing and hanging pictures all weekend. I was hanging pictures in the hall, and charlie in his PJ's playing with toys when he ran up to me and said Ut-Oh! He had poo poo in his hand. Maysie had "went" in the house (poor little puppy- I probably forgot to let her out) and charlie picked it up and brought it to me- lovely! I sent maysie outside (after stepping in it), washed charlie up while gagging, cleaned the floors and then eventually put Charlie down.
THEN It was 2:30, I was sound asleep- & Charlie started crying! I went in there after waiting to see if he would sooth himself back down, and he was sopping wet!! It was the darn Huggies!! We switched this week from Pampers due to a $3.00 off coupon I had and all week he has been wet! I changed his diaper, sheets. his clothes and put him in bed with me (which NEVER happens because he is a wiggle worm and has never slept with us b/c he just won't). Well he feel asleep in my arms- so sweet! I could not believe it. However, I was so uncomfortable from being sick from a cold, that I softly brought him to his room, where you guessed it, he woke up. It is so cold in our house so I was so worried all night he was cold! Finally 4:30 I fell asleep! And then what felt like 30 minutes later, he woke up for the morning! I looked at the clock- 6:15!! And then realized we gained an hour..yay!!
Sunday we went to Blake's 2nd birthday party (charlie's 2nd cousin). It was a Firetruck bday party and so fun! My cousins out did themselves with a firetruck jumper, hot dog, cotton candy, snowball and nacho machines. A kids dream. Then the best part...the Firetruck visit!

Baby Bumble Bee- Happy Halloween!

We had a wonderful Halloween! We didn't know what Charlie would think of it, being that he is only 14months old but he caught right on and LOVED it! He was like a little prince riding in the wagon from house to house, then he would run up to the houses and say "HEY" and try to wiggle his way in everyone's home. We had a beautiful night and then rang it in with the Saints beating the Steelers!

(Most people in our area neighborhoods decided to make trick-or treating on Saturday night due to the Saints game on Sunday and the thousands of people who would be watching or at the game. The Saints held a pre-game costume contest outside the Superdome. They brought the Guinness World Records in an effort to certify the crowd as the biggest ever Halloween gathering in one place).However, we celebrated on the traditional day of Oct 31st! =)

We are officially thirty! Holy Cow...Where did the time go? My birthday was on Oct 1st and Craig's on Oct 10th. Over the years I would always poke fun at Craig because I was 18 before him, 21 before him,but now it is not so much fun being 30 first- he is now the one poking fun at me (although he is not far behind me)!
A wonderful 30 years...I am truly blessed and wouldn't change a thing... happily married to the most amazing man, the most adorable little boy that brings so much joy to our lives, a baby boy/girl on the way, great health, happiness, amazing family, wonderful friends and the list goes on and on and on...
Being that I'm preggo we had pretty laid back bday celebrations. My birthday was on a Friday so after work we had Craig's Aunt Cheryl watch Charlie while we went out for dinner. The next day was fun at the LSU/TN game while Charlie went with Aunt Molly to the fair to see the animals and then stayed at Mame and Pops. We had so much fun although I was pooped on Sunday. The next weekend we celebrated Craig's birthday at our new house, our very first dinner in our new dining room with family over! I used our China and had baby pictures of Craig at everyone's place setting. My sweet mom made Craig's favorite meat and we rang in the afternoon with the Saints game!
Oh and we gave each other a very cool camera for our birthday so we can capture great pics of our chickadee's!
Thank you Lord for all of our Blessing's throughout our thirty years of life!

Update- Charlie's Birthday-Visit from Family

We are trying to update some since I have been such a slacker lately with posting! Life has just been extremly busy- as I am sure most of you can relate. -We are still in the process of renovating/updating our new house so we always have a project going on!
-I am extremly busy at work (which is a blessing) and this little baby (we decided not to find out sex of baby #2) is moving and kicking like crazy (charlie was never this busy in there)!
-Craig is like a little kid in a candy store with it being football season...on top of staying busy driving all over town to all his home health patients.
-And sweet little Charlie is very busy- and cracking us up with telling EVERYONE he sees "HEY" and he just waves and waves and blows kiss after kiss to just about anyone- and if someone isnt paying atttention to him, he just keeps saying "hey" more and more! Such a heart!!
I am going to update with a few pics from Charlie's bday party and also visit with his sweet cousins Ty and Cruz! We miss you boys so so much!! I will update more of August and Sept pics and then hopefully get back on track!

Charlie's 1st Birthday!

I can not believe my baby boy is 1! It is just amazing how fast this year went by!
Charlie's birthday was Friday August 13th and since his party will be this weekend we took him to dinner with my parents and he dug into his first cake! It was so funny! He dug his hands in and then stared at his fingers filled with cake fr about 2 minutes straight. We almost wet ourselves laughing!
Craig surprised me with the sweetest thing ever for Charlie's 1st- he made a 15 min video with music and pics of Charlie's 1st year of life- it included my stages of pregnancy, charlie's first moments in the world, etc...even video clippings of his first crawl and walk- it was so touching!
Anyway, mean mommy took charlie to the doc on his birthday (he was way over due)- He weighs 24 lbs and is 31" in height. He wears a size 6 shoe-which he will be out of soon for 7's! His foot is so big! It is funny bc that is the first thing the doctor said when they delivered was look at those huge feet and look at those lashes! I have to say my baby boy has girl lashes and they are so pretty!
He is totally walking, 4 top teeth and 2 bottom now, and surprising us each day with more words and lots of laughter! He is such a happy boy!
I will post his party pics after this weekend but for now here is a pic of my sweet 1 year old pushing his new John Deere and staring at his hand after his first experience with cake!

Hello! Hello! I havent posted in a while now- LOTS going on !!!

Our most exciting news is that Charlie is going to be a Big Brother! We found out in May- On our anniversary! God def had this one planned for us! The babies will be 17-18 months apart. We are due Jan.25th and are looking forward to adding to the Kingrea Crew!
We bought a new house (not knowing that we were expecting #2 on the way) and have been very busy updating it, we sold our house in 2 months (thank you Lord) and just moved in the new house 1-1/2weeks ago with lots still left to do. It has been hectic and we are living around boxes but slowly it is coming together. It has just been hard on me b/c when I get home from work I am so exhaused that I am not too helpful with organizing and unpacking!- 1st trimester kills ya! However, our amazing family has been helping us tons!
Craig changed PT jobs and is now doing Home Health Physical Therapy and seems to really be enjoying it! He can make his own schedule so it is really nice!
Also- Last night Charlie took like 8 steps- He will be walking any day now!! His first birthday is coming up on Aug.13th- need to plan his party!
Other new things in the world of Charlie- He is blowing kisses, saying "no, no", he points to eyes and nose and light when you ask him, loves watermelon and blueberries, has 2 top teeth and 2 bottom and lots more coming in, says "uh oh", & claps all the time/does pat a cake...

Anyway - I will post more later but that's our little update on our busy life right now!

We had a fabulous time in Destin! We went with the Kingrea family (over Father's day weekend) and it was so much fun and very relaxing. Charlie had a blast! He absolutely loved the sand, ocean waves and taking naps on the beach under the tent. The weather was perfect- and no signs of oil at all while we were there! Thank you Margy and Grandaddy (Derby) and BonBon for a wonderful vacation!

On another note I have to say we are so very blessed to have such wonderful "Dad's in our lives!

Craig- Happy First Father's day! What an incredible Dada you are! Watching you father Charlie makes me fall more and more in love with you! Your face lights up every day when you are with Charlie which lights up my face all the time! You are such a great help with everything and I love you for loving us so very much!

Dad (Pops)- I love you more then you will ever ever know and I thank God for you daily. Thank you for your unconditional love for our family, your patience (raising 3 great girls =), your love for the Lord, your huge heart, and your love for your 3 grandsons!

Grandaddy (Derby)- How blessed I am to have been married into such a wonderful family and been giving the gift of an amazing father in law! Thank you for loving us unconditionally, always making me smile, and although you live hours away you still make a point to call us all the time to ask every detail about your grandson!

BZ- I am so thankful to have you as my father in law and couldn't have asked for a better step father for my husband then you. Thank you for your love and support of our family and for being a great BZ to Charlie! XO.

My First Haircut

I got my much needed 1st haircut today. It was sad for Mommy but I look so handsome! We went to Jessica's house (Mommy's friend and Stylist) and she did a great job! And even saved my curls! I was so good the entire time (well Daddy was feeding me animal crakers too).

Now when we go out on the town maybe people will stop telling mommy and daddy how pretty their little girl is! Thanks Jess!

Now we are off to the beach this week for Father's Day weekend and I can't wait!

The weather is terrible right now and I am stuck at work!
I can not believe June is here...Our baby will be 10 months on the 13th- time is flying. Sorry I have not posted lately- we have so much going on with work, Craig's job, showing our house ( have to constantly have it perfect), and work on the new house! Good News though---we had an offer last night and it was right where we wanted to be. We accepted and they put a deposit to the agency so the next step is inspection!! We are excited !! We hope thy will love it as much as we have!
Craig has been a painting machine at the new house and I have been cleaning and trying to get it at least decent for us to move in. It is definitely a work in progress- those fixer uppers are a love hate but in the end it will be something we will be proud of and love!

Today is our 5 year Anniversary!!

We met at age 14 and have been pretty much inseparable ever since for the past 15 years!

Our marriage is a testament to how great marriage can be when a couple allows God to be the center of everything.
The past 5 years have not been perfect by any stretch of the imagination. We have had our trials and struggles, but in the end we have grown more and more in love.
Craig is not just my husband, father to my son, best friend in the whole world, but he is the most amazing and wonderful man I know.

Well hello there! It has been quite some time that I have blogged! Our lives have been very very busy lately! We had a wonderful Easter (Brooke, J, and boys in town, Crescent City Classic Race, Our 4th annual Crawfish Boil and more) which I will post about later... After Easter Charlie got sick with his first little virus, and in the midst of all this we decided to put an offer on a house! After very little negotiating- we are proud owners of 2 homes! Ahhh! Well not yet but we close on the new house April 30th! We have put our home on the market... Please keep us in your prayers! We love our home we are in now but found another "fixer upper" that we love and I have to get my hands on! We are hopeful that it will all work out!

On another note...Our precious Charlie is 8 months!! He finally got his first tooth---The Easter bunny brought it to him!! Yep- Easter Sunday my little teething machine finally popped one out! It is so cute! He is just growing so fast and is on the move constantly! He is crawling as fast as lightin', pulling up on everything, & into everything! He is starting to get sad wen I leave in the morning for work (breaks my heart),waving bye-bye and hi, doing "wa-wa-wa", kissing back and lighting up a room with his smile! It is so fun!

Born to Run

Charlie did his first 5k with me in the jogging stroller on Sunday for the "Mad Dash" to benefit St. Tammany Parish Hospital Foundation. He loved it! He passed out halfway through. Heather Wood and our sweet God baby Abbie did it with us too! It was a beautiful day and a wonderful weekend!
We are happy that this week is a short week! Can't wait for Easter!! My sister, brother in law and their boys are coming in town on Thursday! And we also have friends of ours, the Perrett's with their twin boys, coming to stay with us on Friday. We are all doing the Crescent City Calssic Saturday- jogging strollers and all! A lot different from years past but it will be a blast!
